Subscribe to Fynapse Release Updates

Get notified of new Fynapse features, improvements, and fixes as soon as they're published.

Fynapse publishes release notes and API changelog entries to RSS feeds. Subscribe to the feeds in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or any RSS reader to stay informed about new Fynapse features, improvements, and fixes without checking the docs site manually.

The following feeds are available for subscription:

Slack

Use Slack’s RSS app to post new Fynapse release notes directly to a channel.

  1. Make sure the RSS app is installed in your Slack workspace.
  2. Open the channel where you want to receive Fynapse updates.
  3. Enter the following command:
/feed subscribe https://docs.fynapse.app/api-reference/changelog.rss`

Slack confirms when the feed has been added successfully. When a new Fynapse release note is published, Slack periodically checks the feed and posts new entries to the channel.

Manage your subscriptions

To see the RSS feeds currently subscribed to a channel, enter /feed list. You can also manage existing subscriptions from Slack’s RSS app settings.

Microsoft Teams

Use a Microsoft Teams workflow to automatically post new Fynapse release notes to a Teams channel.

  1. Next to the channel where you want to receive notifications, select the three dots and click Workflows.
  2. Select an RSS template, for example Post a channel message when a new RSS feed is published.
  3. Configure the RSS feed URL depending on whether you want product release notes or API changelog updates
  4. Select the Team and channel where you want the notifications sent.
  5. Save and enable the workflow.

Microsoft Teams periodically checks the RSS feed for new entries. When a new Fynapse release is detected, your workflow posts the release information to the selected channel.

Slack and Microsoft Teams check RSS feeds periodically rather than in real time, so notifications may not appear immediately after a Fynapse release is published.

Other RSS applications

The Fynapse release feed uses the standard RSS format, so you can also subscribe using an RSS reader or connect it to automation and integration tools that support RSS
