Processing Management
The majority of this configuration is performed by users with the following security roles assigned:
Manual Adjustments
Manual Adjustments allow you to ingest Journals directly to to correct, update, or refine financial data.
Extracts
Extracts allow you to extract Journals, Unposted Journals, Errors, Balances, and user-defined Entities (stored in FDS) automatically according to schedules defined by you to eliminate manual extractions. Extracted data can be later used by downstream services, for example, General Ledger.
Period Locking
Period Locking allows you to control data feed incoming into periods in the form of posted Journals. By either closing or opening periods, you can either prevent new Journals from being posted or allow it.
Error Management
Error Management service allows you to export a log with processing errors for Business Events and Journals.
Flow
Flow allows you to create custom processing within Fynapse framework.
Fynapse Flow allows you to compose your own integrated Fynapse processes, i.e. Flows, comprising of lookups, calculation rules, native Fynapse processes such as the Accounting Engine processing and Journal processing, etc.
By creating process Flows that combine native Fynapse services with configurable or custom rules, you can configure the Fynapse platform to meet the specific finance automation and data consumption needs of your organization with the fastest possible time-to-value.
