Home Screen
Overview
The Home screen in Fynapse includes a Dashboard that presents processing statistics for inbound data.
The data in the dashboard can be filtered by a selected period. Each time you leave the Home screen, the filter is reset to the last 30 days.
Note that Fynapse collects data starting from the most recent system configuration deletion (performed via the Configuration Data screen). As a result, the Dashboard may display data covering a shorter period than the default last 30 days.
You can return to the Home screen from anywhere in Fynapse, by clicking the logo in top left corner of the header.
The Dashboard consists of five sections.
Ingestion
The Ingestion section provides the following metrics:
- Total files pending - the total number of files awaiting ingestion
- Total of files processed - the total number of files ingested
- Reference data files - a number of ingested files with reference data
- API ingested entities - a number of entities ingested into the system via REST API
- Errors - a number of ingestion errors. The number is a link that will redirect you to the File Ingestion screen, where you can view failed ingestions. You can click the Download error file link to find out more details about errors.
Processed data
The Processed data section provides the following metrics:
- Flow triggers - records processed as the result of triggered Flow processing, the information is broken down by Entity the data is processed to
- Business Events - processed Business Events ingested in a file on the File Ingestion screen
- Errors - a number of processing errors. The number is a link that will redirect you to the Errors screen, where you can view the errors.
Journals
The Journals section provides the following metrics:
This section can be additionally filtered by Subledger Node.
- Journals awaiting approval - Journals ingested on the Adjustment Portal screen awaiting approval under Approval Workflows
- Journals denied approval - Journals ingested on the Adjustment Portal screen denied approval under Approval Workflows
- Posted Journals - processed Journals that were posted
- Unposted Journals - processed Journals that have Posting Date in the future
- Total Journal Lines - total number of processed Journal Lines
- Errors - a number of failed Journals during processing. The number is a link that will redirect you to the Errors screen, where you can view the errors.
Note that the number of failed Journals usually varies from the number of thrown errors displayed on the Errors screen.
Storage
Please note the statistics are refreshed several times a day, so it might take a moment to upload the most recent changes.
- Entities shared across - all created Entities, both Protected and Defined, which have stored option enabled
- Total operational - all Entities in the database
- Total reporting - all data from Entities used in reports, e.g. Trial Balance
- Staging area - files loaded in ingestion or generated by extraction, or any other files loaded to cloud storage
- Total used across all entities - the total storage used by all Entities, Operational and Reporting, and all staging files; this value is also a link that will redirect you to the Storage Metrics Details screen described below.
Storage Metrics Details
Storage overview
- Total storage - the total storage used by all Entities, Operational and Reporting, and all staging files
- Operational - all Entities in the database
- Reporting - all data from Entities used in reports, e.g. Trial Balance
- Staging - files loaded in ingestion or generated by extraction, or any other files loaded to cloud storage
Storage activity
This section shows the activity, i.e. how the storage use changed over time, for all Entities.
Top 10 entities by storage usage
This section consists of a diagram presenting the top 10 Entities using the up the most storage.
Entity breakdown
This section consists of a grid that allows you to compare storage usage across your Entities, broken down by type, i.e. Operational, Reporting and Staging, with the following details:
- Entity name - name of the Entity
- Type - information if the Entity is a Reference or Transaction Entity
- Retention policy - the number of days set for the retention policy
- Storage used - the amount of storage used
- Percentage of total - the percentage the storage used constitutes of the total available storage
Journal Lines processed per day
This section consists of a diagram presenting Journal Lines processed per day. The diagram covers the entire period determined by the filter at the top of the screen. When you place your cursor on an item in the graph, you will get the statistics from the Journals section for the given day.
Daily average processing speed
This section consists of a diagram presenting the daily average processing speed for Journal Lines per hour. The diagram covers the entire period determined by the filter at the top of the screen. When you place your cursor on an item in the graph, you will get the processing statistics for the given day.
