# Login and Password

## Overview

Below you will find a number of guides relating to user authentication in Fynapse.

## Tutorials

#### How to Sign in to Fynapse?

**Option 1**: Use your external identity provider to sign in to Fynapse. **Option 2**: If you know your username and password:

1. Enter your username or e-mail address.
2. Enter the password.
3. Click the **Sign In** button.

#### How to Sign out of Fynapse?

1. Click the **Sign Out** button on the bottom of the left-hand menu.

#### How to Recover your Password?

1. Click the **Forgot Password?** link.
2. Enter your username or e-mail.
3. Click the **Submit** button. An e-mail with instructions on how to create a new password will be sent to your e-mail.
